Fantasy Football Streams of the Week: Week 13

Week 13 Defense Rankings

By The Stream Master General, Ryan Weisse

Three months ago, we were just hoping we would make it to this day. Now, we’re here and it’s bittersweet. We all definitely deserve a sigh of relief and a pat on the back for making it through this fantasy regular season. It was rough between injuries and COVID — Week 12 certainly did not help — but we are not quite finished yet. Hopefully, you have your bye week locked up but if not, it’s time to get that Week 13 win and secure your spot in the fantasy playoffs. Streaming options are thinning, as teams at the bottom of your league stop churning their rosters, but I dug deep to find players available in 50% of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

A quick note on availability: Waivers ran very late this week with the PIT vs BAL game falling on Wednesday, so a few of these players may not be there for you anymore. Don’t fret, usually my guys I pick for 2-5 end up doing better than my SOTW, hence the extreme high-score of my Best of the Bunch you’ll read about next.

Accountability

Clearly, I might need to stop picking a #1 QB every week. I am a damn jinx! Every week, I get about 2 of 5 QBs right and very rarely are they my top pick. To make matters worse, the top pick somehow ends up hurt or throwing no TDs. Basically, you can blame Daniel Jones and his hamstring on me. Sorry about that. Thankfully, I have been doing pretty good with my SOTW tight end and absolutely crushing my DEFs, if I do say so myself.

Quarterbacks

SOTW – Kirk Cousins vs JAX
Look, I know my Stream of the Week title has cursed just about everyone this season…don’t care. Cousins has survived the jinx before and I am as confident in him as I have been in any QB this season. He has 11 TDs over his last four games and three in each of his last two games. He’s red-hot right now. Plus, he threw three last week without Adam Thielen, who should be back for this cupcake matchup. The Jags give up top-10 fantasy points to QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs on the season. Everyone should eat and Cousins is the chef. As of this writing, he is available in 60% of Yahoo leagues and 80% on ESPN.

2. Baker Mayfield @ TEN
3. Mitch Trubisky vs DET
4. Derek Carr @ NYJ
5. Colt McCoy @ SEA

Tight Ends

SOTW – Jordan Reed vs BUF
Not gonna lie, I’m kind of digging my own grave here. For all intents and purposes, Tonyan should be Stream of the Week against the Eagles. He’s available in just under 50% on Yahoo and just over 50% on ESPN. But he was SOTW last week and that is boring. So, to spice things up, we’ll go with Jordan Reed. Buffalo gives up the 4th most fantasy points to TEs and Reed is the guy in San Fran until Kittle is back. He hasn’t done much since returning from his own injury but this should be a solid week. Reed is available in more than 70% of leagues on ESPN and Yahoo.

2. Robert Tonyan vs PHI
3. Trey Burton @ HOU
4. Kyle Rudolph vs JAX
5. Dalton Schultz @ BAL

DEF/ST

SOTW – Las Vegas Raiders @ NYJ
This one is a bit risky, but my system has worked and I’m trusting my process. The Raiders are far from a good D/ST but the Jets are a dream matchup. New York gives up the most fantasy points to D/ST and allows almost three sacks and one turnover per game this year. The Las Vegas DEF has only had two good games this entire season: one in bad weather against Cleveland, and the other against a bad Denver team. This weekend in New York, they might get bad weather AND a bad team. It could be a perfect storm to propel this subpar defense into a top-10 finish. The Raiders are available everywhere, over 90% of leagues, both platforms.

2. LA Chargers vs NE
3. Chicago Bears vs DET
4. Buffalo Bills @ SF
5. San Francisco 49ers vs BUF
