Week 8 Fantasy Football Streamers: Top QB, TE, and DEF Picks

Fantasy Football 2026

It appears I am doomed to mediocrity this season. Streaming has been tough. Well, picking a Stream of the Week has been tough. As you may know, I give five options every week, with the top option being my Stream of the Week. Those top picks are struggling. This article is COOKING. So far, if you only used this article for your player pool, you could have built the QB1, TE3, and DEF1 this season. I just need to get better at picking the Stream of the Week. That has become the theme of my intro this year. Will Week 8 finally bring things together? Let’s find out.

Each week, I highlight five fantasy football streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. Let’s dive into this week’s picks and find you the upside you need.

Accountabilty

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, the Best Pick line shows what you could achieve if you streamed only from my weekly lists.

Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Most leagues use 6-point passing touchdowns, but data providers default to 4-point systems, so I’m keeping things consistent.

If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 13 points (QB20) 9 points (TE18) 1 point (DEF21)
SOTW Season-Long 108 points (QB15) 55 points (TE22) 37 points (DEF17)
Best Pick Last Week 23 points (QB5) 10 points (TE16) 10 points (DEF3)
Best Pick Season-Long 166 points (QB1) 111 points (TE3) 79 points (DEF1)

Week 8 Fantasy Football Streamers

Quarterback

Baker Mayfield vs. ATL

I was a little surprised Baker was available in enough leagues to be called a streamer. It’s not like he’s been good, and certainly was not in his first game back last week, but still a bit surprising. After a 64-yard, one-TD performance, I imagine no one is excited to start him, but Atlanta makes it a bit more interesting. They allow over 17 fantasy points per game to QBs over the last month, and every starting QB they have faced this year has thrown for at least 200 yards. If Mayfield can hit 200 and add two TDs this week, he is a safe play for those streaming QB.

Other Options

Tight End

Greg Dulcich vs. NE

Dulcich took advantage of National Tight End Day and a porous Jets defense last week, reeling in five balls for 86 yards. It was good enough for a top-10 finish in Week 7. The going should be tougher against New England, but they have been gashed by tight ends twice this year. Now, Dulcich is not Brock Bowers or Colston Loveland, but he should be involved enough again this week to stay relevant. And if he finds the endzone, another top-10 finish is certainly possible.

Defense

Cincinnati Bengals vs. TEN

The Bengals are a top-5 fantasy defense right now and have had two weeks to prep for the Titans. While Tennessee has played better as of late, they are still turning the ball over, averaging 1.5 giveaways this year, and actually getting slightly worse over their last three games. Then you look at Cincinnati’s ability to get after the QB. They are tied for the league lead in sacks and are in the top half of the league in QB hits and takeaways. Sacks and turnovers. That is what you chase in fantasy defense, and the Bengals should eat in Week 8 (pun very much intended!).

Other Options

  • Browns @ PIT
  • Raiders @ NYJ
  • Bears @ SEA
  • Commanders vs. PHI
