All in all, it was a rough Week 3 for my Streams of the Week. QB and TE let me down, but we did pick the top defense in fantasy, so there is a silver lining. However, even in what I call a bad week, there is still value in this article. As you may know, I give you 5 streamer options every week. I judge myself based on my top option, but we also highlighted last week’s QB2 and TE3. If I had just rearranged some names, I would be on top of the world right now. Let’s see if I can get it right in Week 4.
Each week, I highlight five fantasy football streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. Let’s dive into this week’s picks and find you the upside you need.
Accountabilty
Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, the Best Pick line shows what you could achieve if you streamed only from my weekly lists.
Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Most leagues use 6-point passing touchdowns, but data providers default to 4-point systems, so I’m keeping things consistent.
If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.
| QB | TE | DEF | |
| SOTW Last Week | 11 points (QB25) | 6 points (TE32) | 17 points (DEF1) |
| SOTW Season-Long | 41 points (QB21) | 30 points (TE16) | 32 points (DEF3) |
| Best Pick Last Week | 27 points (QB2) | 23 points (TE3) | 17 points (DEF1) |
| Best Pick Season-Long | 72 points (QB3) | 63 points (TE1) | 38 points (DEF2) |
Week 4 Fantasy Football Streamers

Quarterback
Sam Darnold vs. LAC
Oh, what could have been!? I wanted to pick SEA QB as my Stream of the Week last week, but I hated not knowing who would start. I played it safe with C.J. Stroud, and Darnold BALLED OUT, going for almost 400 yards and four TDs in what was basically his first game of the season. Now, I always caution against chasing last week’s points, but the Chargers are suspect this year and give up the 12th-most fantasy points to QBs. The real long and short is that you want a piece of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Darnold is a cheap entry point.
Other Options
- C.J. Stroud vs. DAL
- Daniel Jones vs. WAS
- Marcus Mariota vs. IND
- Kyler Murray vs. MIA
Tight End
Darren Waller vs. DET
Play all pass-catchers against the Lions. It’s as simple as that. This might be the highest-scoring game of the week, as neither team has a secondary. Detroit allows the most fantasy points to TEs by a wide margin and has allowed six TE TDs already. Waller looks like a redzone favorite for Bryce Young and could score two of his own this week.
Other Options
- Brenton Strange @ CIN
- AJ Barner vs. LAC
- Greg Dulcich @ MIN
- Chig Okonkwo vs. IND

Defense
New Orleans Saints vs. ATL
I really hope you grabbed Minnesota last week for three reasons. First, they were the number-one fantasy defense in Week 3. Love that for my Stream of the Week. Second, they get to play MIA this week, so they will probably run it back. Third, I hate the DEF/ST matchups in Week 4. Not just for streaming; I hate all but three defenses this week. If you have MIN, BAL, or SEA, Congrats! If you don’t, Good Luck! Which brings me to the Saints. When you hate all defenses, it’s even harder to pick one under 50% rostered. Atlanta beat the hell out of Green Bay last week, so this is risky, but they also allow the second-most fantasy points to DEF/ST this season. Maybe they turn back into a pumpkin? Fingers crossed.
Other Options
- Packers @ TB
- Browns vs. PIT (Thursday)
- Commanders vs. IND
- Bills vs. NE
