Well, we are three weeks in and (checks notes) EVERYONE IS INJURED. It got ugly quick as fantasy football heads into Week 4, and your team could probably use some help. Let’s get to the waivers. Every week, we’ll highlight our Top 5 fantasy football waiver wire pickups to help you stay ahead of the competition and keep your roster strong.
A few quick notes: I use ESPN as my baseline, so players must be available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues to make the list. I’m also a proponent of streaming QB, TE, K, and DEF, so you’ll rarely see those positions here; they’re easy to snag for free after waivers. Save your FAAB! Now, let’s hit the Top 5.
Week 4 Fantasy Football Waivers

Ollie Gordon (99% Available on ESPN, 98% on Sleeper)
I am seeing a lot of analysts already calling Gordon a trap, but if you don’t overspend, I think there is some value here. Gordon fumbled the bag HARD a few years ago. He could have been a first-round pick after his Junior year, and instead disappointed as a Senior and fell to the sixth round. He didn’t show much as a rookie, but now he has a shot at real volume. De’Von Achane will miss the rest of the season, and Gordon will split time with Jaylen Wright. Wright missed Week 3, and Gordon carried the ball 17 times and scored a TD. You weren’t excited to start Achane, so don’t get too excited about Gordon, but we don’t leave starting RBs on waivers.
FAAB Suggestion: 20%. Likelihood you’ll still be starting him in a month: 49%.

Braelon Allen (86% Available on ESPN, 78% on Sleeper)
It was a rough week for AFC East RBs, as Breece Hall picked up a likely multi-week injury as well. I am an unabashed Braelon Allen fan, and if not for the fact that Ollie Gordon is likely to keep the job for the whole season, Allen would be my top priority. He is only 22 years old, and this could be his first real chance to show his skills since his rookie season. If you only need an RB for a month, Allen is my choice.
FAAB Suggestion: 15%. Likelihood you’ll still be starting him in a month: 33%.
Kenyon Sadiq (66% Available on ESPN, 66% on Sleeper)
All eyes are on Sadiq after Sunday. The rookie broke out in a huge way, finishing with 7 catches for 105 yards and a TD. That made him the TE4 in Week 3 and moves him into the Top 10 for the season. The Jets won’t face the Lions every week, but Geno Smith is playing better than expected, and with the possible loss of Breece Hall, they could be throwing even more over the next month.
FAAB Suggestion: 15%. Likelihood you’ll still be starting him in a month: 66%.
Chris Bell (97% Available on ESPN, 90% on Sleeper)
Another potential rookie breakout on the horizon. With the loss of Achane, the Dolphins will need to adjust their game plan quite a bit. Bell was a first-round talent who fell due to a knee injury. He recovered super quickly and was ready to play well before anyone expected. It was a slow start, but he caught four of seven targets in Week 3 and seems primed to take over this receiving corps. Bell is the most talented receiver on this roster, and Miami will need to lean on him.
FAAB Suggestion: 10%. Likelihood you’ll still be starting him in a month: 49%.
Kendre Miller (99% Available on ESPN, 96% on Sleeper)
The world will throw FAAB at Alvin Kamara with Travis Etienne picking up an injury, but his 2.8 yards per carry will keep him off the field on 1st and 2nd down. Kendre Miller will be the biggest beneficiary of the Etienne injury. Miller has the only RB rushing TD for New Orleans so far this year. He is still more of a fantasy RB4, but in deeper leagues, Miller is a decent add.
FAAB Suggestion: 10%. Likelihood you’ll still be starting him in a month: 10%.
