Week 15 Fantasy Football Waivers: Why Do You Hate Jacoby Brissett?

Fantasy Football Waivers

I feel like I should probably explain my title in the opening. For weeks, Jacoby Brissett has been a top fantasy play at QB. And FOR WEEKS, he has been under 50% rostered. In fact, from Week 13 to 14, his rostership went down. It makes no sense. I’ll drop more stats in his player blurb below, but suffice it to say, fantasy managers are ignoring Brissett at their own peril. Waivers are pretty strong this week, and about half your league is going to stop competing. If you made the playoffs, congrats! Now, let’s win the whole damn thing.

Remember these tips for your playoff waivers:

1. Handcuff your starting RBs. If you have Christian McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson, you need to have Brian Robinson and Tyler Allgeier as well. Your focus here is on making sure you always have a team’s starting RB.

2. Start streaming your DEF now. Look for the teams that have the best Week 16 or 17 matchups. Roster them now, so you have the best starter that week.

With all that out of the way, here are my top adds as we head into Week 15!

A few quick notes: I use ESPN as my baseline, so players must be available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues to be included on the list. I’m also a proponent of streaming QB, TE, K, and DEF, so you’ll rarely see those positions on my list; there are usually quality players readily available for free after the waiver period. Save your FAAB! Now, let’s hit the Top 5.

Week 15 Fantasy Football Waivers

Week 15 Fantasy Football Waivers

Jacoby Brissett (53% Available on ESPN, 47% on Sleeper)

As promised in my intro, here are some Jacoby Brissett stats. First and foremost, since taking over as the starter in Week 6, he is the QB2 in fantasy. Do you even need more convincing? Only Josh Allen has more points than Brissett, and the list of QBs I would start over him is VERY SMALL. In that span, Brissett has been over 250 passing yards in every game and has thrown two TDs in all but one. The Cardinals cannot run the ball, and Brissett is a volume monster. He is going to win someone a championship. Why not you?

Harold Fannin (46% Available on ESPN, 35% on Sleeper)

Fannin showed some juice earlier this year but got kind of quiet while the Browns figured out their QB situation. After Week 14, it appears that they have figured it out. Shedeur Sanders will start the rest of the way, and that is good news for Fannin. Over their last three games together, Sanders has helped Fannin to be the TE2 in fantasy. I mentioned in my intro that I rarely recommend QBs or TEs in my article, but when the QB2 and TE2 are available for the fantasy playoffs, ADD THEM!

Blake Corum (78% Available on ESPN, 51% on Sleeper)

Corum has looked good in the last couple of games, with two significant factors to be considered. Kyren Williams is dealing with a minor injury, and the Rams keep blowing teams out. There is no reason to think that changes will be made moving forward, so Corum is a good add. He is unlikely to hit 100 yards and two TDs every week, but even half that makes him a good Flex play. This section is also a good place to note that you should try to add the backup to both of your starting RBs, if it makes sense. If your starter misses time, would the backup take all the work? Corum, Tyler Allgeier, Brian Robinson, and a few others fit that mold and should be rostered immediately.

Devin Neal (44% Available on ESPN, 36% on Sleeper)

Though he is a starter, Neal slots in behind the handcuffs in priority. However, if you need an RB to start in Week 15, Neal would be a better option than guys like Allgeier or Robinson, though. Neal is the RB25 over the last three weeks, making him viable, though not exciting. As long as Alvin Kamara continues to miss time, Neal is a decent RB2 play.

Luther Burden (84% Available on ESPN, 63% on Sleeper)

In Rome Odunze’s first missed game, Burden led the Bears in receiving. He finished with six targets in each of his last two games and 22 over his previous four. In those spans, he is the WR4o in fantasy. Again, not exciting, but viable. Earlier this year, Burden showed some of the big-play ability that got him drafted, and the Bears are competing to win the NFC, so he should stay involved over these last three fantasy tilts. If Odunze continues to miss time, Burden can be a Flex play with WR2 upside.
