As we move on to Week 6, with injuries and bye weeks, more and more teams in your league are probably starting to stream. That is a big reason why I give five options in this article every week. If you can’t get my top choice, there are four others. As you read further, you’ll notice in my Accountability section that one of those four picks is likely to pop every week. Through this article, we have built the QB6, TE1, and DEF1 this season. I haven’t always called them my Stream of the Week, but if you look at five picks and choose better than me, you are riding high on streaming!
Each week, I highlight five streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. With fantasy teams hoarding many of these start-one positions, I have also added a “Look Ahead Option” so you can plan for next week as well. Now, let’s dive into this week’s picks and find the upside you need.
Accountabilty
Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, Best Pick showcases what streaming with my picks in this article can achieve.
Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Although the world uses 6-point passing touchdowns, data providers prefer 4-point systems, and I am trying to keep this simple.
If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.
| QB | TE | DEF | |
| SOTW Last Week | 12 points (QB25) | 18 points (TE6) | 7 points (DEF8) |
| SOTW Season-Long | 58 points (QB25) | 47 points (TE13) | 36 points (DEF10) |
| Best Pick Last Week | 27 points (QB3) | 21 points (TE3) | 15 points (DEF2) |
| Best Pick Season-Long | 100 points (QB6) | 90 points (TE1) | 62 points (DEF1) |
Week 6 Fantasy Streamers

Quarterback
Bryce Young vs. DAL
There’s no denying that Young has been a bit of a disappointment this season. After his hot finish to 2024, we certainly didn’t expect the QB22 performance so far this season. Young was my Stream of the Week last week, and while 198 yards and two TDs isn’t awful, he was still the QB25 on the week. Yuck! So why repeat? Dallas. The Cowboys are the worst defense in fantasy, meaning you want to start everyone against them, Young included. They surrender the most points to QBs on the season, and every QB they’ve faced has dropped 20 or more fantasy points. Young should get it done this week.
Other Options
- Sam Darnold @ JAX
- Trevor Lawrence vs. SEA
- Michael Penix vs. ATL
- Spencer Rattler vs. NE
- Look Ahead Option: Aaron Rodgers plays CIN in Week 7.
Tight End
Harold Fannin @ PIT
The Browns got a new QB, and he loves tight ends! It had been a rough season for all Browns pass-catchers to this point, but Dillon Gabriel might fix that, at least for one position. Gabriel only threw 33 passes last week, but 13 went to tight ends. Rookie quarterbacks tend to favor tight ends. They also tend to lean on fellow rookies. Yes, David Njoku led the team with nine targets, but Fannin still caught four balls and found the endzone. The Browns get the Steelers this week, and Pittsburgh allows the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends. There should again be plenty of targets for Njoku and Fannin.
Other Options
- Mason Taylor vs. DEN
- Evan Engram vs. NYJ
- Jake Tonges @ TB
- Theo Johnson vs. PHI (Thursday)
- Look Ahead Option: Mason Taylor plays CAR in Week 7.
Defense
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. SEA
I am not sure which is more unbelievable. The fact that the Jags are the current #1 fantasy defense. Or the fact that the best defense in fantasy is only rostered in 27% of leagues and is eligible for streaming. Jacksonville leads the league in takeaways with 14 this season, and the Seahawks are averaging more than one turnover per game. It’s not the best matchup; Seattle doesn’t give up a ton of sacks, and they will score points, but Jacksonville has earned some trust. Two or three takeaways should give the Jags a safe floor. If they find the endzone, they already have two DEF/ST TDs this season, they will be a top-10 play again.
Other Options
- Patriots @ NO
- Rams @ BAL
- Chargers @MIA
- Saints vs. NE
- Look Ahead Option: Chiefs play LV in Week 7.
