Week 3 Fantasy Streamers: Top QB, TE, and DEF Picks

Fantasy Football 2025

I have to say, this might be my toughest start to Stream of the Week. Not one of my positions ranks in the Top 12. Ouch. But honestly, this is more of a good thing for fantasy. Over the first two weeks, we are seeing some good football, and when superstars play well, it’s great for everyone…except those trying to find an edge in free agency. We saw some solid picks last week in my Top 5 for each position, so all hope is not yet lost. Let’s crush it in Week 3!

Each week, I highlight five streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. Let’s dive into this week’s picks and find you the upside you need.

Accountabilty

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, Best Pick showcases what streaming is capable of.

Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Although the world uses 6-point passing touchdowns, data providers prefer 4-point systems, and I am trying to keep this simple.

If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 10 points (QB26) 4 points (TE37) 8 points (DEF8)
SOTW Season-Long 20 points (QB30) 14 points (TE18) 13 points (DEF14)
Best Pick Last Week 19 points (QB15) 18 points (TE2) 13 points (DEF4)
Best Pick Season-Long 36 points (QB12) 29 points (TE4) 22 points (DEF2)

Week 3 Fantasy Streamers

Fantasy Streamers Week 3

Quarterback

Sam Darnold vs. NO

While Darnold has not been great this season, we did see signs of life last week. Against Pittsburgh, he threw for 295 yards and two TDs. Sure, he’s only the QB28 on the season, but a home game with the Saints should help. New Orleans gives up the eighth-most points to fantasy QBs. They have allowed five TDs in two weeks, and that includes a 279-yard, 3-TD performance from Mac Jones last week. With the way Darnold has been feeding JSN, it could be a solid game for both of them this week.

Other Options

Tight End

Harold Fannin vs. GB

I wasn’t sure about the rookie after a solid Week 1, but I am bought in after two weeks in a row. I still like David Njoku, but you cannot ignore what Fannin has done thus far. Fannin sits at 14 targets after two weeks, catching 12 balls for 111 yards. That is good for TE8 on the season, and his role feels safe. Seven targets per game could be his norm, and that is great in the current TE landscape. This week, he gets the Packers, and the one flaw of their defense seems to be that they struggle against TEs. Green Bay gives up the 5th-most points to TEs on average this season, which is 17 per game. If Njoku and Fannin each get 8.5, that’s a pretty safe floor for a streamer.

Other Options

Defense

San Francisco 49ers vs. ARZ

The 49ers’ defense has been good, not great, thus far in 2025. Over the course of two games, they are the DEF11, with four sacks and three takeaways. They were better in Week 1 than Week 2, so I am betting on a bounce-back. The Cardinals’ offense hasn’t been anything special despite an easy opening schedule with Carolina and New Orleans. Arizona is giving up three sacks per game, but that includes a five-sack game against New Orleans. I think San Fran can get after Kyler and should be a fringe top-10 play this week.

Other Options

  • Falcons @ CAR
  • Buccaneers vs. NYJ
  • Colts @ TEN
  • Commanders vs. LV
