Week 1 was great for fantasy football. Most stars performed, and scores were high. Unfortunately, when most everyone does well, it can hurt the streaming crowd. My picks were mediocre at best, and Week 1 was not great for this article. But, we’re on to Week 2!
Each week, I highlight five streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. Let’s dive into this week’s picks and find you the upside you need.
Accountabilty
Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, Best Pick showcases what streaming is capable of.
Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Although the world uses 6-point passing touchdowns, data providers prefer 4-point systems, and I am trying to keep this simple.
If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.
| QB | TE | DEF | |

Week 2 Fantasy Streamers

Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers vs. SEA
Well, Aaron Rodgers loves revenge games. He balled out against the Jets, tossing four TDs and finishing as the QB7 on the week. He gets Green Bay in Week 8, just saying. But while this week isn’t a revenge game for Rodgers, it is for DK Metcalf, and I think that will motivate his QB, too. The Seahawks just got beaten by the 49ers and allowed passes to EVERYBODY. Running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends all got in on the fun as Brock Purdy threw for 277 yards and two TDs. Do you know who Aaron Rodgers likes to throw the ball to? EVERYBODY. Expect another multi-TD game and top-12 finish this week.
Other Options
- Michael Penix @ MIN
- Geno Smith vs. LAC
- Joe Flacco @ BAL
- Trevor Lawrence @ CIN
Tight End
Brenton Strange @ CIN
The Bengals struggle against the tight end. They gave up the most fantasy points to the position last season, and they are the reason most people now know who Harold Fannin is after their Week 1 performance against Cleveland. Strange saw four targets in Week 1 and caught all four for 59 yards. We should see more targets and similar efficiency against a bad Bengals defense. If he finds the endzone, he’ll be a top-5 play this week.
Other Options
- Hunter Henry @ MIA
- Juwan Johnson vs. SF
- Jonnu Smith vs. SEA
- Zach Ertz @ GB (Thursday)
Defense
Los Angeles Rams @ TEN
It was a rough debut for Cam Ward in Denver. The rookie took six sacks and was hit 14 times in the game. The Rams also got after the QB last week, sacking C.J. Stroud three times and hitting him seven. That is a recipe for disaster for Ward in Week 2. When streaming defense, you want sacks and turnovers. The Titans had two fumbles in Week 1. The Rams recorded an interception and a fumble recovery. All the stars are lining up for multiple sacks and turnovers for Cam Ward and the Titans again in Week 2. The Rams are a top-5 play this week.
Other Options
- 49ers @ NO
- Cardinals @ CAR
- Packers vs WAS (Thursday)
- Chargers @ LV
