NFL DFS Week 15

Teacher’s Pet

Courtland Sutton (DraftKings: $6,600 / FanDuel: $7,200)

Two years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to imagine a scenario in which Courtland Sutton was my favorite DFS Cash player. But Bo Nix is out here, making him look like one of the best receivers in the league. Sutton continues to receive ridiculous volume in this offense and has yet to push past $7,000 on DraftKings. That’s a recipe for success and one we will follow until he becomes price-prohibitive.

Honor Roll

Bo Nix (DraftKings: $6,300 / FanDuel: $7,600)

Look out, Jayden Daniels; Bo Nix is coming for your Rookie of the Year award. That’s right. Nix has continued to play consistently and is currently +230 on FanDuel for Rookie of the Year, behind only Daniels. He has become a DFS Cash staple at quarterback, getting it done through the air and with his legs. With some of the elite quarterbacks in challenging spots this week, I’m looking to save a little money in Cash and go with Bo Nix.

Chuba Hubbard (DraftKings: $6,500 / FanDuel: $7,500)

The Carolina Panthers run game has continued to be one of the sneaky good systems this year, and it is running through Chuba Hubbard. With the news of Jonathon Brooks’ season-ending injury, Hubbard now has zero competition for touches. Sure, they will sprinkle in some Raheem Blackshear to give Hubbard rest, but not to the point where Hubbard’s job is at risk. Hubbard should easily hit 20 touches in a game where the Panthers are favored.

Khalil Shakir (DraftKings: $6,100 / FanDuel: $7,000)

The Buffalo Bills are coming off a barnburner game against the Los Angeles Rams and are set for another one against the Detroit Lions. Khalil Shakir has been Josh Allen’s clear number-one target this year and looks poised for high volume once again. While the Lions’ defense has been better this year, they are dealing with a load of injuries, and the Bills are still going to look to pass the ball, which will ensure Shakir gets there on volume.

Check the Chalkboard

Derrick Henry (DraftKings: $8,300 / FanDuel: $9,200)

The King is set up for another great week against a struggling New York Giants defense. Since Week 11, the Giants have allowed the second-most points to the running back position. Further, the Ravens are favored by a gobsmacking 16.5 points, giving them the highest implied team total on the slate. This could easily be one of those games where Derrick Henry scores multiple touchdowns and seemingly gets more energy as the game continues.

Participation Grade

Brenton Strange (DraftKings: $2,500 / FanDuel: $4,600)

With Evan Engram out this week, we have the re-emergence of Brenton Strange. In Weeks 2 through 5, with Engram out, Strange consistently scored between nine and 12 DraftKings points. He had one dud performance, but at this salary, that is okay. The big difference is he now has Mac Jones under center, but Jones is able to get the ball to his tight ends. Lock in Strange and enjoy the salary savings.

Back of the Classroom Studs

Adam Thielen (DraftKings: $5,400 / FanDuel: $6,100)

As the Carolina Panthers have garnered some momentum in recent weeks, Adam Thielen has turned back the clock and returned as the Panthers’ number one pass catcher. Over the past two weeks, he has combined for 21 targets and averaged 100 receiving yards per game. With that level of volume, he can quadruple his salary, which will go a long way to helping us cash on Sunday.

Michael Wilson (DraftKings: $4,400 / FanDuel: $5,400)

If Michael Wilson can’t get there this week, he might be off the DFS Cash list permanently. The Arizona Cardinals face off against the New England Patriots this week. More importantly, they match up against Christian Gonzalez, who is a dominant cornerback. Gonzalez is likely to cover Marvin Harrison on Sunday, which should open up opportunities for Wilson. And they should be plentiful. The Patriots secondary struggles outside of Gonzalez, so this is a great opportunity for the other receivers.

Denver Broncos (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $4,800)

The Denver Broncos’ defense has been one of the most consistent units all season. They only have one game with negative points, and it came against the Baltimore Ravens when they were absolutely rolling on offense. The Broncos are consistently putting quarterbacks under pressure, causing sacks and turnovers. This week, they get Anthony Richardson, who is known to make some mistakes. While Richardson may improve coming out of the bye week, this is nonetheless a solid spot for the Broncos defense.
