Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense Rankings | Week 14

Fantasy Football 2025

Bye-mageddon? Bye-pacalypse? Didn’t we just do this two weeks ago? After six teams were on bye in Week 12, we got an excellent Week 13 with all 32 teams active. With a full slate, we absolutely killed it with our Streams of the Week. All of my SOTW finished in the Top 10, which also brings all of our season-long picks into the Top 10. It has been an excellent season, but chances are, if you’re reading this, you need one more win to make the playoffs, and now we’re dealing with another six teams on bye. Let’s finish what we started. Here are the best QB, TE, and Defense streaming options from our Week 14 rankings.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers tell you. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always give five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t call it the Stream of the Week. Basically, Best Pick shows you what streaming is capable of.

Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs. I know the world uses 6-point passing TDs, but data providers love 4-point, and I am trying to keep this simple.

If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 27 points (QB4) 18 points (TE6) 17 points (DEF3)
SOTW Season-Long 208 points (QB8) 177 points (TE2) 105 points (DEF8)
Best Pick Last Week 27 points (QB4) 18 points (TE6) 19 points (DEF2)
Best Pick Season-Long 316 points (QB2) 225 points (TE1) 178 points (DEF1)

Note: All of these players were available in around 50% of ESPN leagues as of Wednesday morning after waivers had run.

Quarterback

Will Levis vs. JAX

Telling people to start Will Levis with their playoff hopes on the line might very well be my boldest take of the season. Levis has had an up-and-down season, but over the last four games, he has been the QB15, averaging 17 fantasy points per game. With the way Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are playing, you have to feel good about Levis’ touchdown upside. On defense, the Jags give up the 2nd-most fantasy points to QBs this year. While they held CJ Stroud in check last week, they let Jared Goff beat them for 412 yards and four TDs in Week 12. Levis should fall more on the Goff side of this equation.

Other Options

Tight End

Pat Freiermuth vs. CLE

BACK-TO-BACK! Yes, Freiermuth was my Stream of the Week last week, and hopefully, you held onto him. He was the sixth-best TE in fantasy in Week 13, putting up six catches for 68 yards and a TD. Over the last two games, Freiermuth is the 8th-best fantasy tight end and has another solid matchup this week. Just two weeks ago, he put up four catches and 59 yards on the Browns and now faces them again. Since Week 6, Cleveland has given up the 4th-most points to the tight end, and yes, one of those was a Taysom Hill day, but Juwan Johnson scored 12 fantasy points in that same game. Freiermuth just needs to match what he did in Week 12, but add a TD, and he’ll be a top-10 play again this week.

Other Options

Buffalo Bills @ LAR

The Bills have been a top-10 fantasy defense just about all of 2024, but they are almost always less than 50% rostered. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but it makes them a great stream in Week 14. The Rams aren’t exactly a great matchup for fantasy defenses, but one thing I’ve noticed this season is that good defenses find a way. The Bills are tied for 2nd in the league in turnovers and have scored two defensive TDs this season. The Rams average one giveaway per game this season and are actually worse at home than on the road when it comes to turnovers. This game could be high-scoring, so if your league has big penalties for points or yards allowed, you might be better off with the Saints. But if your scoring values turnovers, I think Buffalo could end this game with two or more, and hopefully, one finds the endzone.

Other Options

  • Saints @ NYG
  • Titans vs. JAX
  • Cardinals vs. SEA
  • Jets @ MIA
