Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense Rankings | Week 13

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Every article you read today should tell you in the intro how thankful they are for you, the reader. If they do not, stop reading. They don’t love you. In all seriousness, thanks for tuning in every week. In the interest of saving your time and mine. That is my whole intro. Here are the best streaming options at QB, TE, and Defense from our Week 13 rankings.

Accountability

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers tell you. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always give five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t call it the Stream of the Week. Basically, Best Pick shows you what streaming is capable of.

Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs. I know the world uses 6-point passing TDs, but data providers love 4-point, and I am trying to keep this simple.

Week 13 Streams of the Week

Note: All of these players were available in around 50% of ESPN leagues as of Wednesday morning after waivers had run.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson @ CIN

Russ has come back to Earth after a hot start, but you have to love the matchup; the Bengals have allowed the most fantasy points to QBs over the last month. Going back over the last two months, you see that five of their last nine opponents have scored 25 or more fantasy points at the QB spot. They are the perfect storm for fantasy production. The Cincinnati offense scores a ton of points, and their defense can’t stop anyone from scoring. As long as the weather in southern Ohio cooperates, this should be another high-scoring affair and a get-right game for Russell Wilson.

Tight End

Pat Freiermuth @ CIN

It’s a stack! Not only do the Bengals surrender a ton of points to QBs, but they get beat up by TEs, too. Over their last four games, they’ve given up the sixth-most points to fantasy tight ends. In fact, every starting tight end they’ve faced since Week 7 has scored at least eight fantasy points. That’s a great floor, and in Week 11, they let Will Dissly drop 18 on them, so the ceiling is there, too. Freiermuth has been quiet lately but just went 4 for 59 against Cleveland last week.. Throw a TD in there, and he would have been a great play. I think he’ll find the endzone against the Bengals

A quick note on Taysom Hill: While his rostership is creeping up, he is always the best streaming option at tight end. Putting it bluntly, every tight end has the same floor, but NONE have Hill’s ceiling…mainly because he’s not a tight end, but this is not the place for that argument. Taysom Hill will forever be listed as my number two option in this article because it would be boring if he were number one every week. The plain and simple is this: if you don’t have one of the five elite tight ends, Taysom Hill should always be your first choice when it comes to streaming.

Dallas Cowboys vs. NYG (Thanksgiving afternoon game)

The Dallas defense has been awful this year, but so has the Giants offense. We’re playing the matchup. Whether it’s Tommy Devito or Drew Lock at quarterback, this feels like a good week for Dallas. The Cowboys also lead the league in return touchdowns. So even if they can’t beat up the Giants on offense, there is always a chance Kevontae Turpin saves your day on special teams.
