Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense Rankings | Week 10

Fantasy Football 2025

If you’ve followed this article for more than just one season, you’ve probably already noticed the trend I am about to point out. My first article series in the fantasy industry was about DEF/ST, and since then, it has held a special place in my heart. I have been an advocate for streaming defense for longer than I have been a writer. In most seasons, I might let you down at QB and TE, but my Stream of the Week defense usually smashes. This season, I am crushing it at QB and TE, and even though I’ve built the DEF10, it pales in comparison to my Best Pick on defense. I give you five picks every week, and I call one my Stream of the Week. This year, one of my five picks pops every week, and I could have built the DEF1 with 30 more points than the true DEF1. I am making the right picks; I just need to call the right one my Stream of the Week. Let’s see if I can get it right this week. Here are the best streaming options at QB, TE, and Defense from our Week 10 rankings.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers tell you. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always give five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t call it the Stream of the Week. Basically, Best Pick shows you what streaming is capable of. Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs. I know the world uses 6-point passing TDs, but data providers love 4-point, and I am trying to keep this simple.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 19 points (QB12) 12 points (TE10) 3 points (DEF20)
SOTW Season-Long 144 points (QB12) 121 points (TE3) 63 points (DEF10)
Best Pick Last Week 22 points (QB6) 16 points (TE5) 9 points (DEF11)
Best Pick Season-Long 218 points (QB2) 138 points (TE1) 120 points (DEF1)

Note: All of these players were available in around 50% of ESPN leagues as of Wednesday morning after waivers had run.

Quarterback

Justin Herbert vs. TEN

If you had told me last year that Justin Herbert would be a streaming QB, I would have laughed at you. He was too good to be available in 50% of leagues. This year, a run-first offense has relegated Herbert to a game manager, but he has really come on over the last few weeks. In fact, since his Week 5 bye, he is the QB8 in fantasy and has averaged over 20 fantasy points per game. On defense, Tennesse has given up five multi-TD games to QBs and just got beat for 200 passing and 95 rushing yards by Drake Maye. This feels like a good home matchup for Herbert, and he can build on his solid Week 9, where he was the QB11. He should easily crack the top 10 this week.

Other Options

Tight End

Hunter Henry @ CHI

Henry has been a big part of the offense, no matter the quarterback. However, since Drake Maye took over, he has become more relevant to fantasy. Over the last month, Henry has averaged seven targets per game and is parlaying that volume into about 13 fantasy points per contest. Last week, he was targeted eight times and finished as the TE10. The Bears have been torched by tight ends over their last three games. They have allowed 10+ fantasy points to each starter they faced and the fourth-most points to the position in that span. They are trending the wrong way on defense, and the Patriots should lean on Henry again in this matchup.

Other Options

Buffalo Bills @ IND

This might be the flaw in my process, but it feels like an easy pick. If I can get a top-10 defense facing a not-so-great offense, I am going to make them my Stream of the Week every time. Let’s see if the Bills can prove me right. The Colts have looked rough over the last month, no matter who was playing quarterback. Over their last two games, one with Anthony Richardson and the other with Joe Flacco, they have allowed eight total sacks and turned the ball over four times. They have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to DEF/ST in those games. Last week, Joe Flacco couldn’t even score a touchdown, but the team decided to stick with him. The Bills are a top-10 team when it comes to takeaways, and this should be a get-right game for sacking the quarterback. I expect a blowout in Indy.

Other Options

  • Rams vs. MIA
  • Giants @ CAR (Germany)
  • Falcons @ NO
  • Commanders vs. PIT
