Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense Rankings | Week 7

Fantasy Football 2026

We’re heating up! Two weeks in a row now, my Streams of the Week have finished as a Top-12 option at every position. Not too shabby when you consider these players are available in 50% of leagues AFTER waivers. For the season, while my Streams of the Week are looking pretty good, my Best Picks are FANTASTIC. I give you five options every week, and if you pick the best one better than I do, you have built the QB1, TE3, and DEF1. Let’s keep it rolling in Week 7; here are the best streaming options from QB, TE, and Defense rankings.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers tell you. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always give five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t call it the Stream of the Week. Basically, Best Pick shows you what streaming is capable of. Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs. I know the world uses 6-point passing TDs, but data providers love 4-point, and I am trying to keep this simple.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 25 points (QB4) 10 points (TE11) 9 points (DEF6)
SOTW Season-Long 95 points (QB11) 64 points (TE4) 44 points (DEF12)
Best Pick Last Week 28 points (QB1) 10 points (TE11) 12 points (DEF3)
Best Pick Season-Long 147 points (QB1) 75 points (TE3) 84 points (DEF1)

Week 7 QB, TE, Defense rankings

Note: All of these players were available in around 50% of ESPN leagues as of Wednesday morning after waivers had run.

Quarterback

Geno Smith @ ATL

I’m not sure what is more outlandish: The fact that Geno Smith leads the league in passing right now or the fact that he is the QB7 in fantasy and is still available on waivers. Either way, he’s an excellent stream in Week 7. The Falcons are in the middle of the road when it comes to fantasy points to quarterbacks, but they do allow about 16 per game and have given up four multi-TD games to quarterbacks this season. It’s touchdowns that are holding Smith back; he only has six passing touchdowns in six games, but this feels like a good matchup to make up some ground.

Other Options

Tight End

Cade Otton vs. BAL

Otton started the season with two bad weeks but has bounced back. Since Week 3, he is the TE9 in fantasy, averaging about nine fantasy points per game. Last week, Otton saw six targets and found the endzone for the first time this season. Baltimore has given up the 5th-most fantasy points to tight ends despite not allowing a TD yet. With the way Baker Mayfield is playing right now, I’m not betting against Otton being the first to score on the Ravens this season. Even still, without allowing a TD, the Ravens have let four tight ends score nine or more fantasy points on them. Otton has a safe floor and a great ceiling if he hits paydirt.

Other Options

Buffalo Bills vs. TEN

When I researched this article on Wednesday, Buffalo barely made my availability qualifier of 50% of leagues. They were right at 50% on both ESPN and Sleeper but rostered in 90% of Yahoo leagues. Yahoo has it right! The Bills have a top-10 fantasy defense and face off against the team that allows the most points to fantasy DEF/ST. The Titans are allowing more than three sacks and two turnovers per game, and their offense is averaging fewer than 20 points per game. Buffalo’s defense ranks in the top half of the league in sacks, QB hits, takeaways, and points allowed. It could be another rough one for Tennessee, who has already given up the best weekly defense finish twice this season.

Other Options

  • Chargers @ ARZ
  • Bengals @ CLE
  • Saints vs. DEN (Thurs)
  • Packers vs. HOU
