It has been another wild week in the NFL. The Jets are in shambles, the injuries continue to pile up, and we have new quarterbacks all over the place. This is honestly why DFS is one of my favorite forms of fantasy football. Every week is a fresh slate. Every week presents new challenges and opportunities. For example, this week, we have multiple games with over 50-point totals, which has become a rare occurrence. However, the elite quarterbacks in one of those matchups also happen to be the two most expensive on the slate. How will we manage? Keep reading to get my favorite Week 6 NFL DFS Cash picks.

NFL DFS Week 6

Teacher’s Pet
Bijan Robinson (DraftKings: $6,600 / FanDuel: $8,500)
There is so much happening with this pick. First off, we have nearly a $2,000 difference in salary between the two DFS sites, suggesting one of them is way off base. Then, we have a team favored by six points matching up against the team that allows the second-most points to running backs. But it seems that firing Arthur Smith didn’t exactly unlock Bijan Robinson. That said, the Falcons have a 26-point implied team total. They have had a challenging schedule to start the season that pushed them to pass the ball frequently to stay competitive. If they need to pass the ball 50 times this week, something has gone terribly wrong. Play Bijan Robinson.

Honor Roll
Dak Prescott (DraftKings: $6,700 / FanDuel: $8,000)
In contrast to the Falcons, the Dallas Cowboys will probably need to pass the ball 50 times this week because their run game has been middling. Plus, the Detroit Lions have been solid against the run. This is the best game environment on the slate. The over/under is at 52.5 points. Believe it or not, that’s higher than where it started (52 points). The great thing about Dak Prescott this week is that he is only $6,700, which means a 20-point game easily pays off this salary. Prescott should be seriously considered in all Cash lineups this weekend.
CeeDee Lamb (DraftKings: $8,600 / FanDuel: $9,300)
If Dak Prescott is in my player pool, then it isn’t shocking for CeeDee Lamb to follow. The arguments for Lamb are very similar to those for Prescott. The biggest issue is his salary is somewhat cost-prohibitive, but that shouldn’t detract people from playing him. We have also had some injuries open up cheaper plays that make playing Lamb easier, one of which will be mentioned later in this article. However, Rachaad White has been officially ruled out, which lines Bucky Irving up for a solid role at a cheap salary. All that to say, there are ways to get Lamb into your lineup despite the price.

Josh Downs (DraftKings: $5,500 / FanDuel $6,100)
Every year, there seems to be one player the DFS sites refuse to price up, and this year, it appears to be Josh Downs. Downs has become a target hog over the past two games, including a whopping 12 targets in Week 5. Despite that, he is still below $6,000, which is wild when you consider that CeeDee Lamb has had fewer than 10 targets in every game since Week 1. Obviously, the talent level is different, but Downs is going to be a Cash staple until he is either priced up or we see a serious drop-off in volume.

Participation Grade
Cade Otton (DraftKings: $3,500 / FanDuel: $5,200)
Speaking of ridiculous volume, Cade Otton has suddenly been revitalized in this offense. After a sluggish start, he has three consecutive weeks with over 40 receiving yards, including two weeks with at least eight targets. Now, he faces a New Orleans Saints team that has struggled against the tight end position. While Otton is no Travis Kelce, we did just witness the Saints struggle to protect the middle of the field, which is where Otton makes his living. Plus, he allows us to pay up for CeeDee Lamb, which is crucial this week.

Back of the Classroom Studs
Jerome Ford (DraftKings: $5,600 / FanDuel: $6,200)
So, admittedly, with the emergence of Bucky Irving, I will probably play him over Jerome Ford this week. But, because of logistics navigating Hurricane Milton, the Jerome Ford graphic was already made, so we press onward. Plus, he is still a good DFS play. While Cleveland’s offense has struggled overall, so has Philadelphia’s defense. Further, we have seen the Eagles struggle against the run at times throughout the season. Ford still has enough of a role to stay relevant in DFS Cash, and if you need to save money, he is a solid pick.
Xavier Legette (DraftKings: $4,900 / FanDuel: $5,900)
My interest was piqued this offseason when Carolina drafted Xavier Legette, and that interest has been maintained into the season. Legette is coming off a tough performance, but he also exited the game early. He has already returned to a full load in practice, so he should be good to go on Sunday. Two weeks ago, when Adam Thielen first went on the IR, Legette immediately stepped into the WR2 role, bringing in ten targets. With Thielen still out and Diontae Johnson working through an injury, expect more of the same in Week 6.
Michael Wilson (DraftKings: $4,600 / FanDuel: $5,900)
Michael Wilson has been on the Cade Otton program this season. After a slow two-week start to the season, Wilson has picked up in production. He is now averaging just over seven targets per game and has hit 60 yards in two of his last three performances. The Cardinals are underdogs against a Green Bay team that can put up points, providing another opportunity for Wilson to bring in plenty of targets.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DraftKings: $2,600 / FanDuel: $3,700)
Spencer Rattler will make his first NFL start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and I am very thankful. On the one hand, it will be fun to see a new rookie hit the stage. For DFS purposes, it provides us a cheap defense with a positive situation. If you have read this column before, you have heard me preach that rookie quarterbacks provide opportunity for DFS defenses. It’s only natural that fresh quarterbacks are likely to make mistakes, which is what provides the floor and upside we need in DFS. There are many other good options this week in similar situations, but Tampa Bay is the cheapest.
