Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense Rankings | Week 4

Fantasy Football 2025

I’m sure you’re getting tired of hearing it. I’m getting tired of saying, but LAST WEEK WAS ROUGH. It has been a tough season to predict so far, and after two great weeks of streaming, we regressed…HARD! I would like to mention that when my picks are wrong, I suffer too. I started the Raiders DEF in so many leagues and took negatives in every one of them. Not. Fun. But one of the joys of streaming is dumping those non-performers after they ruin your week and starting over with someone new. So, here are the best streaming options from our Week 4 QB, TE, and Defense rankings.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers tell you. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always give five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t call it the Stream of the Week. Basically, Best Pick shows you what streaming is capable of. Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing TDs. I know the world uses 6-point passing TDs, but data providers love 4-point, and I am trying to keep this simple.

QB TE DEF
SOTW Last Week 8 points (QB29) 3 points (TE38) -2 points (DEF30)
SOTW Season-Long 47 points (QB12) 24 points (TE9) 13 points (DEF22)
Best Pick Last Week 16 points (QB15) 9 points (TE8) 21 points (DEF1)
Best Pick Season-Long 65 points  (QB4) 34 points (TE3) 46 points (DEF1)

Week 4 Streams of the Week

Note: All of these players were available in around 50% of ESPN leagues as of Wednesday morning after waivers had run.

Quarterback

Caleb Williams vs. LAR

It has been a rough go for the rookie so far, but we saw glimpses in Week 3. Williams went for 363 yards and two TDs trying to come back against the Colts. While he is only the QB27 on the season, he was the QB14 in Week 3. Now, he gets the Rams. Los Angeles allows the second-most points to QBs, third-most to WRs, and fourth-most to TEs. They give up a lot of fantasy points. With Chicago’s inept running game, Williams should be throwing a lot. He already has the second-most attempts in the NFL, and that volume should mean success against this Rams defense.

Other Options

Tight End

Cole Kmet vs. LAR

That’s right, it’s a Stream of the Week Stack! I love the Bears this week. Along with QB Caleb Williams, their TE, Cole Kmet, is widely available. If you’ve followed me for any time, you know that I am not a big Cole Kmet guy, and after two weeks, it looked like he would be an afterthought. But last week, Williams had his best passing day, and Kmet finished as the second-best tight end in fantasy. Even after 97 yards and a TD, fantasy managers left him on waivers, and now he gets the Rams, who give up the fourth-most points to TEs in 2024. While no TE has cooked them, there has been good volume, and they gave up top-10 weeks in their first two games. With league-wide injuries at the position and what we saw from Kmet last week, he could be the best tight end play in Week 3.

Other Options

Defense

Kansas City Chiefs @ LAC

Now, let’s pick on the other Los Angeles team. Justin Herbert started this season hurt, and it only got worse after three weeks. Playing the tough guy might get him killed. The Chargers are allowing two sacks per game and only scoring about 19 points per game. Their run-first offense is working out well for fantasy defenses. Kansas City has been lackluster this season, but they did have two sacks last week and, more importantly, 10 QB hits. They are getting after the quarterback; now, they just need to bring him down. Whether it’s Justin Herbert, Taylor Heinicke, or Easton Stick, they should be able to convert more of those hits to sacks in Week 4.

Other Options

  • Texans vs. JAX
  • Vikings @ GB
  • Bears vs. LAR
  • Titans @ MIA
