It’s that time of year again when I profess my love for Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews! With an unbeatable track record of elite past performances and a pivotal role in the Ravens offense, Andrews continues to hold my heart as one of the most valuable assets for fantasy football rosters in 2024.

Mark Andrews 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Consistency is Key
One of the key factors behind Andrews’ fantasy relevance is his consistent target share in the Ravens offense. Before being injured in Week 11 of the 2023 season, he was on pace to have more than 100 targets for the 3rd season in a row, solidifying him as a primary weapon in the Ravens passing game. It’s no secret that Andrews is a favorite target of quarterback Lamar Jackson. If we were to extrapolate his yards, according to Sleeper, he would’ve had 925 receiving yards last season.
The chemistry between Andrews and Jackson is strong. Their connection has become a cornerstone of the Ravens’ offensive strategy. With Jackson’s ability to extend plays and Andrews’ knack for finding open space and running precise routes, this duo remains a threatening combination going into the 2024 season. With some recent health rumors involving Lamar Jackson, as long as both stay healthy, they’re sure to be a dominant force.
Andrews has proven to be a top red-zone target and is a top touchdown scorer year after year. Even though he missed seven games during the regular season, he still came out tied for 2nd among tight ends with six touchdowns. Is this sustainable? Sure it is. His size, route-running abilities, and sure hands make him the obvious target in scoring situations, especially in tight coverage.
Fantasy Value
The Ravens’ offensive scheme under head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Todd Monken has consistently utilized the tight end position effectively. Andrews benefits from a system that emphasizes tight end involvement, ensuring he remains top of mind in the offense. Andrews’ past fantasy football finishes show a player who consistently delivers top-tier performances, injured or not.
As we head into the 2024 season, his established relationship with Lamar Jackson, consistent target share, touchdown scoring, and top role in the Ravens’ offensive scheme make him a valuable asset for fantasy managers. Whether you’re drafting in a standard, PPR, or dynasty league, at 29 years old (in September), Mark Andrews remains a top option at the tight end position. I have zero doubt that he’ll deliver another elite season of fantasy points production.

A Look Inside the Baltimore Ravens
Editor’s Note: While Kelly focused on Mark Andrews in fantasy football, we don’t want to leave you hanging on the rest of the team. Here is a quick look at the other fantasy-relevant Ravens from Ryan Weisse.
Lamar Jackson
While he’s never been able to replicate the passing touchdowns of his first MVP season, Jackson actually had the most passing yards of his career in 2023. His rushing ability will always keep him in the elite fantasy QB conversation. Last season, he finished as the QB4, and he should find the Top 5 yet again with a healthy Mark Andrews.
Derrick Henry
The 1-2 punch of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry is the stuff fantasy dreams and defensive nightmares are made of. Henry probably won’t carry the ball as much as he did in Tennessee, but he’ll also see a likely bump in efficiency. If he plays 16 games, he’ll be a top-12 fantasy back.
Zay Flowers
Flowers is a WR1 in theory, but he will likely play second fiddle to Andrews in 2024. Being the second option in a lower-passing-volume offense caps one’s upside. He was the WR31 last season, and that is a good expectation for 2024. A push into the Top 24 would take a pretty big increase in volume.
Rashod Bateman
The training camp hype is in full effect for Bateman. If he is ready for a year-four breakout, it probably won’t matter much in fantasy. In his own offense, he will be the fifth or sixth option behind Jackson, Henry, Flowers, and Andrews for sure. He’ll be competing with Isaiah Likely and maybe even Nelson Agholor for targets.
Isaiah Likely
Likely might be the only tight end handcuff in fantasy football. He’s a damn good receiver and will find his way on the field even if Andrews is healthy. But, the targets will be limited if he remains in the backup or big slot role. However, if Andrews misses time, Likely is a top-5 fantasy option.
