The Washington Commanders were heavily criticized in free agency for signing several veteran players, but after reinforcing themselves in the draft with 9 players, the Commanders seem to have more strength than many believed. The Commanders have a very tough division, as the Eagles and Cowboys have been quite strong in recent years. In fact, the Commanders were the weakest rival in the division. Will they be this year? I think the New York Giants will be. If there’s one player who excites me (again) in Fantasy Football this year, it’s undoubtedly Terry McLaurin, aka Terry Scary, who we hope will truly be scary this year.

Finally, a good QB
Scary Terry has been quarterback-proof since entering the NFL in 2019. He’s had over 1,000 receiving yards every year except his rookie year when he had 919 yards. His quarterbacks have been: Case Keenum, Alex Smith, Dwayne Haskins, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke, Carson Wentz, Sam Howell, and Jacoby Brissett.
As you can see, quarterbacks come and go for the Commanders, but this year, with the addition of Jayden Daniels, things are looking up for the main receiver, Terry McLaurin.
Of course, we’re going to start with Jayden Daniels, he’s one of the players that excites me the most on this team. In his last year at LSU, he threw for 3,812 yards and scored 40 touchdowns through the air, with only 4 interceptions. But that’s not all; he also rushed for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns. He hasn’t played a single game in the NFL yet, and he’s already being dubbed the mini Lamar Jackson. These types of quarterbacks are the most relevant for fantasy, so keep an eye on him from this year onwards.
If he’s managed to get 5,283 yards, 378 receptions, and 25 touchdowns with all those quarterbacks he’s played with over 5 years, alongside Daniels, his numbers could skyrocket, and for fantasy lovers, this means fantasy points.

A Value at ADP
Terry McLaurin’s ADP this year is #58 overall and #35 among receivers in PPR formats. In 1 QB formats, you can draft him at the end of the 4th round, and in Super Flex formats, in the middle of the 6th round. He is undoubtedly one of the receivers I’ll be keeping an eye on in those rounds. My prediction is that he’ll finish well above his ADP; I’m putting him in the Top 20-25 for 2024.

A Look Inside the Washington Commanders
Editor’s Note: We don’t want to leave you hanging on the rest of the team. While the article focused on Terry McLaurin in fantasy football, here is a quick look at the other fantasy-relevant Commanders from Renee.
Jayden Daniels
A young QB with great upside both as a passer and rusher. He’s the best QB we’ve seen in Washington for quite a while and might be a perfect fit for fantasy managers.
Austin Ekeler
Former Chargers running back Austin Ekeler changed teams after 7 years. In 2021, he had 12 touchdowns, and in 2022, he had 13 touchdowns, which excited us for 2023, but he disappointed many of us. He only managed 628 yards and 5 touchdowns, making him one of the biggest busts of that season. But don’t worry; I think Ekeler will find himself again with the Commanders and score plenty of touchdowns.
Jahan Dotson
It’s the 3rd year for Jahan Dotson, and his first two years in the NFL haven’t been the most impressive in terms of numbers. He has accumulated 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns. But, as I mentioned, the changes in quarterbacks for the Commanders have also affected his performance. This year, with Daniels at the helm, I hope these numbers will rise. Keep an eye on him; I don’t doubt that he could be considered for your fantasy Flex spots for several weeks.
Luke McCaffrey:
Another McCaffrey is coming to the NFL, and if this family has shown us anything, it’s that they strive to be the best in their respective positions. Christian McCaffrey‘s brother undoubtedly has many excited, and in training camp, the connection with his quarterback has already been noticed. The first few years are quite complicated, especially for a player to be relevant in Fantasy, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Luke becomes the Waiver of the Week at some point in the season.
Zach Ertz
Veteran Zach Ertz will be another weapon for Daniels in his first year in the NFL. With 9 years with the Eagles and 3 with the Cardinals, he’s racked up 7,434 yards and 46 touchdowns as a tight end. Ertz’s experience on the field will undoubtedly be talked about, but for fantasy football, we’ll just have to keep an eye on him. We know that tight ends are the position that gives us the most headaches.
Ben Sinnott
The new tight end for the Commanders, unlike Ertz and his 13 years of experience, Sinnott comes to rejuvenate this position and learn from Zach. This will be his rookie year, so we’ll have to keep an eye on his performance and how the Commanders use him to know if we can pick him up on waivers this 2024.

El hermano de Christian McCaffrey sin duda tiene a muchos ilusionados y en los entrenamientos ya se ha notado la conexión con su Mariscal de Campo. Los primeros años son bastante complicados, sobre todo para que un jugador sea relevante en Fantasy, pero no me sorprendería que Luke sea el Waiver de la semana en algún punto de la temporada.
Zach Ertz
El veterano Zach Ertz será un arma más para Daniels en su primer año en la NFL, 9 años con los Eagles y 3 con los Cardenales con 7,434 y 46 Touchdowns para el ala cerrada.
