Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense | Week 15 Rankings

Week 15 Defense Rankings

We have arrived at the fantasy playoffs—the first step on your path to winning a championship. If you’re reading this article, I’m guessing you don’t have a bye, but fret not. There are a surprising amount of great streaming options from our Week 15 QB, TE, and Defense rankings. In fact, if you can land my QB or TE, you’ll probably be set for the rest of your playoff run. Let’s get into it.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

After a rough Week 13, things got back on track last week. We got 16 points from my Stream of the Week QB and 19 from the TE. Even though my DEF managed five points, that was a terrible DEF23 finish for the week, but still not a bad point total. After the destruction of Week 13, I’ll take it. The full-season numbers still look great, especially my Best Picks totals. Using only players mentioned in this weekly article, we have built the QB1, TE1, and DEF1 this season by streaming each position. No wonder you’re in the playoffs!

Note: Best Pick is the one of my five picks that scores the most points each week. I might not have called them Stream of the Week, but hopefully, you did!

Week 15 Streams of the Week

Reminder: All picks were available in over 50% of ESPN leagues after waivers had run on Wednesday.

Quarterback

Stream of the Week – Matthew Stafford vs. WAS

Let me start by stating that I am SHOCKED that not only Stafford but any of my three Stream of the Week picks are available enough to make this article. After the month he’s had, Stafford should be rostered in almost every league. He should have been the first option for every manager who lost Justin Herbert. Over his last three games, Stafford has 10 total TDs and is averaging 30 fantasy points per game. He is the QB3 in fantasy since Week 12. Then, throw in his Week 15 opponent, the Washington Commanders, who give up the most fantasy points to QBs, and you have your ticket to the 2nd Round of the playoffs.

Other Options

Tight Ends

Stream of the Week – Isaiah Likely @ JAX

Likely finishes as the TE3 in Week 14 and is still available enough to call him Stream of the Week? Thank you! He has seen 13 targets over his last two games and recorded five catches, 83 yards, and a TD on the Rams last week. Now he gets a Jacksonville defense that allows the 5th-most points to TEs and just saw David Njoku score two TDs on the way to a 27-point TE2 finish in Week 14. We could be looking at back-to-back Top 5 finishes for Likely.

Other Options

DEF/ST

Stream of the Week – Indianapolis Colts vs. PIT

How in the world is the overall 3rd-best fantasy defense available in this many leagues? Are we afraid of Mitch Trubisky? I didn’t think so. The Colts rank Top 5 in sacks and takeaways this season and have the 2nd-most DEF/ST touchdowns. These are the stats you look for when choosing a fantasy defense. They score about nine fantasy points per game, and the Steelers typically allow about six per game. Pittsburgh also allows multiple sacks and about one turnover on average. This means the Colts have a very safe floor and a top-5 ceiling if they find the endzone yet again.

Other Options

  • Bengals vs. MIN
  • Chargers @ LV (Thurs)
  • Rams vs. WAS
  • Texans @ TEN
