Week 13 is here, and we have another big week for byes. Again there are six teams on a bye, and it’s time to make that playoff push. It’s going to be tough for some teams. I’m here to help you navigate the WR matchups I love or hate in Week 13.
Courtland Sutton vs. Houston Texans
Courtland Sutton has been hot, and he can help you get a win this week. He’s going against Steven Nelson from the Texans. Nelson is allowing a 64% catch rate, and allows 16 yards a catch. Johnson only allows, on average, 43 yards a game but has also allowed 110 yards in one game. Sutton did not have a touchdown last week, only his 3rd week without seeing the end zone. Every week after he didn’t have a touchdown, he has had one, and he’s playing in his home state. This week is a very big week for both teams, and it’s possible whoever wins this game will probably make the playoffs. Sutton has been pivotal in a few big wins this season, and Sunday is going to be no different.
DeAndre Hopkins vs. Indianapolis Colts
Ok, I know the Hopkins hype has cooled, but he has a very favorable matchup this week against Jaylon Jones from the Colts. Last week against Mike Evans, Jones let Evans get in the end zone twice and had 70 yards. The targets have increased towards Jones in the past couple of weeks, and Levis should look to target Hopkins. Jones is allowing a 55% catch rate and nine yards a completion. This is the perfect scenario for Hopkins to have a big week.
Michael Pittman vs. Tennessee Titans
Same game, another very favorable matchup is Michael Pittman against Kristian Fulton. Pittman has not seen the end zone much this year but has been fantastic for fantasy football, he gets plenty of targets, and he only has four weeks under 10 targets. He has a 64% catch rate, while Fulton is allowing a 74% catch rate. Fulton also gets targeted a lot. This is the perfect storm for Pittman to help you get through this bye week.
Mike Evans vs. Carolina Panthers
And as always, my favorite consistent wide receiver is Mike Evans. This is another week Evans can dominate. He’s going against Donte Jackson. Jackson is allowing a huge 71% catch rate and 13 yards a completion. Jackson is going to get picked on, and Evans is going to feast. Evans only has three weeks he hasn’t seen the endzone, and this week he will have no problems getting in.
