Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense | Week 12 Rankings

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you. What a wonderful week for fantasy football. We get three games on Thursday, another on Friday, and absolutely no one on bye this week. For those fighting to make the fantasy playoffs, this week is CRUCIAL! With all those early-week games, I knew I had to get this article out a day early too. Let’s get those dubs. Here are the best streaming options from our Week 12 QB, TE, and Defense rankings.

Accountability

All in all, we are having a great season, and that continued in Week 11. While my QB ranked 19th, he was still good for 16 fantasy points, and my TE and DEF both scored well too. For the season, we have built the QB15, TE8, and DEF1 using my Streams of the Week. Looking at my Best Pick from every week, you get the QB2, TE1, and DEF1. That’s right, using this article and only players available in 50% of leagues AFTER waivers, we have built basically the best player at every position. It’s a Stream come true!

Note: Best Pick is the one of my five picks that scores the most points each week. I might not have called them Stream of the Week, but hopefully, you did!

Quarterback

Stream of the Week – Gardner Minshew vs. TB

My man Minshew has been hit or miss since taking over this job, with Week 10 being a big miss against the Patriots. Recent woes aside, the Buccaneers are just about the definition of a “get-right” game. They give up the 4th-most points to QBs and have been beaten for 32 points by Brock Purdy, 49 from C.J. Stroud, and 33 out of Josh Allen in the last month. Minshew was really good in Weeks 7 and 8 before his Week 9/10 lull. Coming out of a bye, we should see him return to his two-TD ways in Week 12.

Tight Ends

Stream of the Week – Pat Freiermuth @ CIN

Freiermuth was quiet in his first game off of the IR, catching just one ball on a single target. However, the Bengals surrender far more points to fantasy TEs than the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati gives up the 4th-most points to the TEs and has given up 15 per game to the position over the last four games, with George Kittle, Dalton Kincaid, and Dalton Schultz all finishing in the weekly top-10 against them. The Steelers will look to prove they are not as inept as they looked under Matt Canada. Freiermuth had two pretty good games in the first month before his injury, and should be able to get back on track in a new offense.

DEF/ST

Stream of the Week – Detroit Lions vs. GB (Thurs)

It has been a weird season for the Detroit defense, at least in fantasy terms. In ten games, they have scored six or more fantasy points seven times and zero or below three times. Green Bay has struggled on offense most of the season; they’ve only managed more than 20 points scored twice in their last eight games and will be without Aaron Jones this week. They have also allowed multiple sacks in three of their four previous games and have had at least one turnover in seven of their last eight. Detroit will be looking to prove they are legit with the nation watching and could put on a show in this home matchup.
