If your league looks anything like most of my leagues after Week 9, a good portion of teams are still in playoff contention. We’ve withstood injuries and multiple Bye-pocalypses, and most teams are within a game or two of playing for a championship in five weeks. Week 10 brings some heavy hitters on bye, with Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Miami getting the week off. Chances are, managers with Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Tua Tagovailoa, or Travis Kelce are dipping their toes in the streaming pool for the first time. Welcome! We are thriving over here. These are the best streaming options from our Week 10 QB, TE, and Defense rankings.
A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.
The only thing that can ruin a really good week is knowing it could have been a great week. I pivoted from the Chargers DEF at the literal last second, and they finished as the DEF1 for the week. Don’t give in to bullying kids! It was a solid week, with 20 points from my QB, 22 from my tight end, and 9 from the DEF I settled on. On the season, we are averaging 17 points per game at QB, 8 at TE, and 13 on defense, looking just at my Streams of the Week. My best picks are the QB2, TE1, and DEF1. It’s been a good season, and we’re going to finish strong.
|Last Week SOTW||Last Week Best Pick||SOTW Season Avg||Best Pick Season Avg|
|QB||14 fantasy points||32 fantasy points||17 fantasy points||26 fantasy points|
|TE||21 fantasy points||21 fantasy points||11 fantasy points||16 fantasy points|
|DEF||0 fantasy points||16 fantasy points||12 fantasy points||16 fantasy points|
Note: Best Pick is the one of my five picks that scores the most points each week. I might not have called them Stream of the Week, but hopefully, you did!
Week 10 Streams of the Week
Reminder: All picks were available in over 50% of ESPN leagues after waivers had run on Wednesday.
Stream of the Week – Kyler Murray vs. ATL
He’s back! And surprisingly, Murray is available in quite a few leagues. I guess not many people cared to stash him on IR. Their loss is your gain if you’re streaming QBs. Murray comes back to a dream matchup against Atlanta. They give up 22 points per game to the position, seventh-most in the league, and just got torched in back-to-back weeks. In Week 8, Will Levis dropped 34 on them in his first start, and in Week 9, Josh Dobbs went for 30 in his Vikings debut. This is an ideal first start. From Weeks 2-6, Josh Dobbs was the QB11 for the Cardinals, scoring 16+ five times and multiple TDs in three games. Murray is better than Dobbs, and they wouldn’t bring him back if he weren’t ready.
Stream of the Week – Trey McBride vs. ATL
If I like a QB, I usually like at least one of his weapons, and Trey McBride should thrive with Kyler Murray. He is the TE11 over the last three weeks, with 25 targets in those games. He was also the overall TE1 in Week 8. The Falcons give up 13 fantasy points per game to tight ends and have allowed six TEs to hit double-digit fantasy points. McBride is the 2nd target in this offense and could be in for a big day against a defense that feeds points to QBs and TEs.
Stream of the Week – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. TEN
Last week, I pivoted from a questionable Chargers defense, and it bit me in the ***. I’ll stick with the questionable Tampa Bay defense this week and watch it blow up in my face. The Bucs just got TROUNCED by C.J. Stroud, so I forgive you if you don’t trust this pick. However, they did register three sacks and a takeaway, which is exactly what the Titans have allowed per game over the last five weeks. On average, the Titans give up the 10th-most points to D/ST, and the Tampa Bay DEF still averages about seven fantasy points per game. If they can hold Levis to two TDs instead of five, this will be a much better finish for their fantasy defense.
