While this article covers quarterbacks and defense, too, I want to talk to you about tight ends today. For ages, the position has been called a wasteland in fantasy football, but Week 1 made that even more evident. Of the top-15 fantasy TEs last week, only four were rostered in more than 50% of leagues. If you look at the top-10 rostered tight ends, they only averaged four fantasy points in Week 1. That includes zeroes from Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and Dallas Goedert. Yes, two of them didn’t even play, but that just furthers my point. Stream. Your. Tight End. Here are the best streaming options from Club Fantasy’s Week 2 QB, TE, and Defense rankings.
A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.
Accountability
Last week was not too bad when you focus on the points scored. As a reminder, we aim to beat the 12th-best play at each position. Last year, that meant 18 fantasy points for the QB, 8 for the TE, and 6 for DEF/ST. We’ll start comparing ourselves to this year’s averages after Week 4. But in Week 1, our SOTW QB hit 16 points, the TE hit 6, and our DEF scored 11. I’ll also show you what the best of my five picks did every week. I might not have called them Stream of the Week, but hopefully, you did!
Last Week SOTW | Last Week Best Pick | SOTW Season Avg | Best Pick Season Avg | |
---|---|---|---|---|
QB | 20 fantasy points | 26 fantasy points | 21 fantasy points | 28 fantasy points |
Rank | QB15 | QB7 | QB7 | QB3 |
TE | 3 fantasy points | 22 fantasy points | 9 fantasy points | 18 fantasy points |
Rank | TE28 | TE1 | TE7 | TE1 |
DEF | 11 fantasy points | 16 fantasy points | 13 fantasy points | 16 fantasy points |

Week 2 Streams of the Week
Reminder: All picks were available in over 50% of ESPN leagues after waivers had run on Wednesday.
Quarterback
Stream of the Week – Jared Goff vs. SEA
Jared Goff at home is what Streams are made of. Last season, Goff threw 17 more home TDs than he did on the road. He also just scored 16 fantasy points against Kansas City on the road. If we add his two extra home TDs, we have a top-5 week. Matt Stafford just dropped 334 yards on Seattle, and Goff has beaten them up in the past. Last year, Goff had the best game of his season against Seattle, going for 378 yards and four touchdowns. He was the QB1 overall that week. Full Stream Ahead!

Tight Ends
Stream of the Week – Hunter Henry vs. MIA
It’s not too often that the TE1 overall is available as a streaming option. Henry scored 16 fantasy points against Philadelphia last week, which was good enough for the top spot at the position. Miami gave up a ton of points to Los Angeles a week ago, and the Charger TE group combined for five catches, 42 yards, and a TD. That is almost precisely what Henry put up in Week 1. Look for a repeat in Week 2.

- Sam LaPorta vs. SEA

- Jake Ferguson vs. NYJ
- Luke Musgrave @ ATL
DEF/ST
Stream of the Week – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. CHI
Justin Fields still struggles as a passer, and Tampa Bay is still excellent against the run. Last week, the Vikings only managed 41 total rushing yards against this Buccaneers’ defense. It will be a long day if Fields can’t get it done through the air. The Packers just finished as the 4th-best fantasy defense against Chicago in Week 1. They recorded four sacks, two takeaways, and a defensive touchdown. It’s not a stretch to say that Tampa Bay’s defense is more talented than Minnesota’s. Expect a similar result and a top-5 finish for the Bucs in Week 2.
Other Options
- Chargers @ TEN
- Broncos vs. WAS
- Colts @ HOU
- Giants @ ARZ
