Thrive Fantasy Main Slate | Week 16 Player Props

Last week was not a great week.  It was so rough that I still have not checked to see how many props I actually missed.  I can only tell you for sure that I correctly selected that DK Metcalf no touchdown prop. That’s the name of the game, though.  Forgive, forget, and trust the process.  We will bounce back this weekend like a tennis ball, though.  Have a Happy Holiday weekend with these Week 16 player props that I have selected for you.  Let’s get started.

Top Five Thrive Fantasy Week 16 Player Props

Najee Harris 60.5 Total Rush Yards

We are starting with an UNDER.  While 61 rushing yards seems like a low number to hit, Najee has actually missed this mark in six of his 14 games, and finished with 62 yards rushing in two of the other eight games.  His season average is 63.6 yards so it’s still not that far off.  Ryan Weisse is projecting Najee Harris to have 72 yards on 18 attempts this weekend.  If Najee gets that many carries, he will probably surpass 61 yards, even at his 3.6 yards per attempt season average.  I just don’t foresee that many carries against the Chiefs.  You also get 120 points if it hits the under.  Did I mention that?

Darrell Henderson Jr. 75.5 Total Rush + Rec. Yards

Take the UNDER here as well.   Henderson only played in 27% of snaps last week and was an afterthought in the Rams’ offense.  That could be because he’s working his way back from the COVID list and other nagging stuff.  That’s a fair assumption to make as Henderson hadn’t played since Week 12.  However, Michel has looked great in his absence and may have forced Henderson into a smaller role.  Henderson hadn’t hit 76 total yards in a game since Halloween anyways.  Sean McVay can be unpredictable, but the Rams have looked a lot better with Michel as the lead back.  Ryan has Henderson at 62 total yards and that even seems high.  Take the under and the 100 points attached.

Cooper Kupp 92.5 Total Rec. Yards

Our first OVER comes from the same game.  Yes, it’s time to talk about Cooper Kupp-a-coffee.  92.5 receiving yards is an extremely high bar unless your name is Cooper Kupp.  Kupp has hit the over in his last nine games.  That’s insane.  Even the latest “under” game for Kupp, (October 7, 2021), was actually 92 yards.  Ryan has him failing to hit 90 yards for the first time since September (89 projected yards).  I disagree.  The Vikings are the 29th ranked defense against the pass (they give up over 252 yards per game through the air).  The last time Kupp faced Minnesota he went for 9 receptions, 162 yards, and 2 touchdowns (2018).  I feel confident in the over in this prop.  The over is worth 100 points.

Ja’Marr Chase 0.5 Total Rec. TDs

Take the OVER here as well.  Yes, The Bengals and Ja’Marr Chase are coming off their worst offensive game of the season.  However, they still won.  They get the Ravens this week too.  The last time the Bengals played the Ravens, Chase went off for 200+ yards and a touchdown.  This was even before more Ravens defensive injuries.  The Ravens’ passing defense is currently 31st in the league.  The chances of Chase scoring a touchdown are high.  Ryan is projecting one as well.  This is a big game for the Bengals.  A win can mean the division.  Expect their stars to show up and collect the 115 points for the over.

Josh Allen 1.5 Total Pass TDs

Finally, take the OVER here.  The Bills playoff lives are hanging in the balance.  This matchup with the Patriots can put them back on track for the division.  The stakes are incredibly high.  Allen has only had three games with less than two passing touchdowns.  Yes, one of those games was against the Patriots a few weeks ago.  However, the conditions there included 40mph+ sustained winds and a combination of rain and snow.  Allen still had a chance for a second TD despite all that too.  They had so many empty red zone drives.  Ryan is projecting Allen for two passing touchdowns.  The over is worth 90 points here.

There are a healthy 525 points up for grabs here that can build your base.  Have a safe and happy holiday!
