So… the games count now! Congrats if you made the playoffs and, if you’re reading this, I assume you did. Streaming QB, TE, and DEF (or even just one of them) and making the playoffs is a big accomplishment. Congratulate yourself and get back to the grind. Week 13 was so/so for streaming. More guys failed than hit, but the ones that hit, hit pretty big. It was my worst week of DEF by far but as teams get less active, the waiver pool shrinks and picks get tougher to make. But Week 13 doesn’t matter anymore– you made it to the playoffs so let’s go win the whole damn thing!
Accountability
It’s been far too long, since Week 7 actually, but my QB, TE, and DEF all hit last week. Let’s hope we can carry this momentum into the playoffs. The week itself wasn’t the prettiest for all 15 picks, but the top guys delivered. On the season, QB is still suspect, though my Best of the Bunch looks good, and TE and DEF are looking great!

Quarterbacks
SOTW – Philip Rivers @ LV
I’m not sure which came first: Rivers improving, thus making his WRs better, or his WRs got better so Rivers improved. Regardless, Rivers is the QB7 over the last three games and has thrown seven touchdowns during that stretch. The Raiders give up the 11th most fantasy points to QBs and have allowed multiple touchdowns in seven of their last nine games, including a two-touchdown, QB13 performance to Sam Darnold last week. It feels like two touchdowns might be his floor and if he hits on three, you’ll have yourself a top-10 QB in Week 14. Rivers can be picked up in 61% of Yahoo leagues and 75% on ESPN.

Tight Ends
SOTW – Tyler Eifert vs TEN
Following last week’s line of thinking, Jordan Reed should probably be the Stream of the Week but I like Washington’s DEF and he was the SOTW last week. It’s someone else’s turn. This week, we turn to Tyler Eifert. Available in over 90% of leagues, regardless of platform, Eifert is a big gamble that I think will pay off, mostly because I think Tennessee’s defense is terrible. The Titans give up the 9th most points to fantasy TEs and have allowed nine touchdowns to TEs on the season, tied for 2nd most in the NFL. It goes without saying that if you’re streaming a TE — one who’s available in just about every league — and he scores a touchdown, you are going to be happy. Eifert caught six balls for 45 yards in Week 13, so if he adds a touchdown to that, you’ll be ecstatic.

DEF/ST
SOTW – Washington Football Team @ SF
While it didn’t lead to many fantasy points, Washington’s DEF put in work against Pittsburgh and held that offense to just 17 points in the Monday night upset. They will find San Fran to be a much easier challenge. The 49ers give up the 10th most fantasy points to D/ST and are coming off of a two-turnover game against Buffalo. On the season, they allow just over two sacks and at least one turnover on average. Those are great starting numbers for a fantasy DEF. Washington averages just over two sacks per game on defense and has six games this season with three or more QB sacks. They should be able to make life very hard on Nick Mullens and slow down the few weapons that San Fran does have on offense. Washington’s DEF/ST is available in 75% of Yahoo leagues but just 50% on ESPN.
