Welcome back streamers! After a gut-wrenching Week 1 performance (see below), I’m happy you are giving me another chance. The objective of this article is to give you streaming options at QB/TE/DEF each week. I will be choosing players that were available in at least 50% of Yahoo or ESPN leagues as of Wednesday after waivers have cleared. There is no point in telling you to stream someone if you can’t even add them and I’d also rather you didn’t have to waste FAAB or waiver priority on one-week fill-ins. The top guy in each category is my Stream of the Week and we’ll be keeping a tally of how I do all year long to see how my SOTW stacks up against the total fantasy points of the top players at each position.
Accountability
So…last week sucked! It’s almost like having no preseason and trying to guess on guys that weren’t even drafted is hard or something. Excuses aside, the numbers below speak for themselves, I need to do better. One thing I always like to point out is that I’m not just the Stream Master General…I’m a streamer too! I took my own advice on Goff, Ebron, and the Titans. I feel your pain and I hope to ease it in Week 2.

Quarterbacks
SOTW – Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) @ NYJ
The Jets aren’t stopping anybody any time soon and just allowed the 3rd most QB fantasy points to Josh Allen. Jimmy G doesn’t have Allen’s rushing ability but he does have multiple RBs that can turn short routes into scores, just like Raheem Mostert did in Week 1. Garoppolo would benefit if George Kittle were 100% but as long as the big man plays, he’s likely to score a TD against this defense. The WR corps is still iffy, but Kendrick Bourne could make some noise after averaging 17 YPC last week. The over/under on this game is low at 42.5 but that is because it’s likely to end 42-0, San Francisco. Garoppolo is available in 49% of Yahoo leagues and 60% on ESPN.
2. Philip Rivers (IND) vs MIN
3. Gardner Minshew (JAX) @ TEN
4. Ryan Tannehill (TEN) vs JAX
5. Mitch Trubisky (CHI) vs NYG
Tight Ends
SOTW – Jonnu Smith (TEN) vs JAX
While the hype after Week 1 was about Corey Davis and his 7/101 stat line on eight targets, Smith found the end zone before Davis or AJ Brown. Jonnu was targeted seven times, catching four balls for 36 yards and a TD. It’s not the most impressive stat line but for fantasy TEs, it doesn’t have to be, he still finished at the TE8 on the week. Denver’s defense is better than Jacksonville’s and the Jaguars allowed 5 receptions for 69 yards Colts’ TEs last week. Jonnu is rostered in 58% of Yahoo leagues but just 26% on ESPN.
2. Jack Doyle (IND) vs MIN **Trending towards inactive, would avoid at this point**
3. Logan Thomas (WAS) @ ARZ
4. Dan Arnold (ARZ) vs WAS
5. Jordan Akins (HOU) vs BAL
DEF/ST
SOTW – Arizona Cardinals vs WAS
The Cardinals more than held their own against the 49ers in Week 1 and finished as the DEF13. It’s pretty safe to say that the 49ers have a much better offense than Washington. Washington didn’t look bad last week but a lot of that was their defense absolutely killing Carson Wentz all day. Philly was still the DEF19 on the week even with their own offense struggling. Basically what I’m trying to say is: Last week was a perfect storm for Washington’s offense and the going will be much tougher in Arizona. The Cardinals had three sacks and 5 QB hits last week but no takeaways. I think Dwayne Haskins might rectify that in Week 2. The over/under is 45.5 here but Arizona will do most of that scoring. You can find the Arizona DEF/ST in at least 78% of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
2. Tennessee Titans vs JAX
3. Los Angeles Rams @ PHI
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs CAR
5. Green Bay Packers vs DET
