The playoffs are just three weeks away! Some of you are already eliminated, others have clinched playoff spots and are fighting for high seeds, but most of us are trying to clinch spots in the playoffs. There’s no more important time for smart waiver wire pickups than the next six weeks. Let’s get to it!
Eddie Royal
With Alshon Jeffrey’s impending four game suspension, Jay Cutler’s gonna have to find another favorite target. Cameron Meredith may benefit a bit but Cutler didn’t like him nearly as much as Brian Hoyer. Royal’s been in Chicago for two years and I think he could be a sneaky pickup for the next four games.
Pierre Garcon
All the attention for wide receivers in Washington has gone to Jamison Crowder lately, and rightfully so – he’s scored in three of his last four games and is ranked 21st in Club Fantasy scoring. That being said, there’s another Washington wideout who has produced that is widely available, and that’s Pierre Garcon. He may not be available in 12 team leagues but he is probably available in your 8 or 10 teamers. Washington’s in a fight for their playoff lives and will need all the offensive weapons they can get if they want to win their division.
CJ Prosise
With Thomas Rawls’ return the Seahwaks’ backfield will become muddled but it’s clear that Prosise plays an important role in the rejuvenated Seattle offense. As Josh pointed out in the podcast the Hawks like to use Prosise the way the Steelers use Le’Veon Bell. He’s worth a stash for FLEX consideration.
Cameron Brate
You know my feelings about Cameron Brate. He’s scored in three consecutive games and Jameis likes him.
Dion Lewis
Remember him? Hopefully your opponents don’t. Who knows just how much he’ll feature in the Pats’ backfield at the start but when he’s healthy, he will be a PPR steal.
Rishard Matthews
Marcus Mariota’s favorite wide receiver is still available in many leagues but he won’t be after this week. The red-hot Titans offense will need all the firepower it can get as it fights the Texans for the division title and Matthews is Tennessee’s best wideout.
