Club Fantasy – How to WIN Money Playing Daily Fantasy – Week 6

By The Commish, Cole Hoopingarner

Due to the craziness of the last week, including Hurricane Matthew, the FSU/Miami game, and general life-things (yes, life-things is a word), you’re getting a new author for this column this week and it’s going to be a little shorter than usual. Both of those are good things, because Josh hasn’t beaten me yet in DFS and really, it’s Friday night – you have stuff to do, man! Here are my daily fantasy suggestions for Week 6:

QB

Drew Brees (FD $8500/DK $7900) – Brees at the Superdome in a must-win division game against a struggling defense. In the immortal words of Ace Ventura: “Gee, let me think, ummmm….SURE!”

Ben Roethlisberger (FD $8700/DK $7500) -The most explosive offense in the league versus perhaps the worst secondary in the league. See the Ace Ventura quote above.

Brock Osweiler (FD $6900/DK $5400) – The source of a lot of debate and even a bet at Club Fantasy, Brock Osweiler needs to show up and if he’s going to do it, it’s got to be this week against the putrid Indianapolis Colts secondary. I don’t think many people will be starting Osweiler, so if you’re looking for a cheap option at QB, he may be your best bet.

RB

Le’Veon Bell (FD $9300/DK $7900) – The Dolphins will be so focused on trying to stop Antonio Brown and Sammie Coates that Le’Veon Bell should have a monster game. Even with only 66 rushing yards last week he still scored a lot of points due to 9 catches for 88 yards. Very expensive, but worth it.

LeSean McCoy (FD $8200/DK $6900) – Shady’s also very expensive this week but when you’re a top 5 back going up against the second worst rush defense in the league, you will cost a lot. You’ll see in my roster below that I’ve got both McCoy and Bell in my lineups because I think they’re going to have such great outings.

DeMarco Murray (FD $8800/DK $7700) – Another expensive running back but really, you’ve got to play the matchups and this is another juicy one. Murray is special and the Browns are not.

WR

DeAndre Hopkins (FD $8100/DK $7500) – Hopkins should push around the Colts secondary easily. A great stack option with Osweiler.

Willie Snead (FD $7000/DK $6400) – I think Snead represents the best overall value this week. He’s fully healed and his connection with Brees is real.

Jarvis Landry (FD $6900/DK $6800) – The Dolphins will have to throw all day to stay with the Steelers, and Landry will catch most of what’s thrown his way. Start him.

TE

Delanie Walker (FD $6700/DK $5500) – He’s fully healthy and he’s Mariota’s favorite target, and really the only reliable Tennessee pass-catcher from a fantasy standpoint. Gotta start him.

Travis Kelce (FD $6400/DK $5000) – Oakland’s defense has underwhelmed and Kelce’s got to break out here. The worst pass defense in the league must provide some sort of remedy to the Chiefs’ passing woes, right?

Jesse James (FD $5400/DK $3000) – For all the reasons stated above with Bell and Big Ben, starting a Pittsburgh receiver is a great call and this price is pretty ridiculous.

D/ST

Give me the Giants (FD $4300/DK $3000) and the Titans (FD $4700/DK $3300) this week for defenses.

A little switch-a-roo this week as Josh takes the week off so The Commish and Richey can square off. Last week Richey smoked me by 20 points. My revenge will be sweet. Here is our matchup with FanDuel scoring!

Richey Position The Commish
