Let’s get right into it, folks. Here are my top players to target during the Week 5 waiver process.
Terrance West
West established himself as the #1 RB in Baltimore and just today the Ravens and Justin Forsett parted ways. That means West is the unquestioned lead back until Kenneth Dixon returns from injury. Word on the street in Baltimore is that the Ravens really loved Dixon so when he comes back, West’s value may take a hit. For now, though, West offers great value as a high-ceiling RB2.
Robert Woods
Will Robert Woods be the first USC wide receiver since Keyshawn Johnson to actually live up to the hype that surrounded him before he was drafted? If he’s going to do it, now’s the time, as Sammy Watkins is done for the year and Woods is the best wideout remaining. LeSean McCoy has looked great so far but he can’t do everything and if the Bills plan on succeeding this year, they’ll have to find someone to catch the ball. Woods may be the guy, and he’s worth a stash on your roster.
Eddie Royal
Could this actually be the year that Eddie Royal stays consistent for 16 games? There are a lot of questions in Chicago, namely the health of Alshon Jeffrey and Kevin White…if those two stay hobbled, look for Royal to continue his connection with Hoyer, because what else can the Bears really do?
CJ Spiller
If the Seahawks are smart, they’ll use CJ Spiller on third down situations as a receiving option out of the backfield. If they do that, Spiller may actually provide consistent value as a FLEX play.
