Welcome to the fantasy playoffs. If you’re reading this article in Week 15, I have two assumptions:
- Your team is still alive.
- You made it to the playoffs streaming at least one position.
CONGRATS! You didn’t waste a draft pick on QB, TE, or DEF, and you are in a spot to win a championship. When you look at this article’s results below, it’s no surprise you’re here, but it’s still worth celebrating. But, making the playoffs is only half the battle. Now, let’s win this thing!
Each week, I highlight five streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. With fantasy teams hoarding many of these start-one positions, I have also added a “Look Ahead Option” so you can plan for next week as well. Now, let’s dive into this week’s picks and find the upside you need.
Accountability
Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, the Best Pick line shows what you could achieve if you streamed only from my weekly lists.
Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Most leagues use 6-point passing touchdowns, but data providers default to 4-point systems, so I’m keeping things consistent.
If you want to see my old picks, this link will take you to my past Stream of the Week articles.
| QB | TE | DEF | |
| SOTW Last Week | 19 points (QB12) | 5 points (TE21) | 1 point (DEF21) |
| SOTW Season-Long | 225 points (QB12) | 137 points (TE8) | 98 points (DEF8) |
| Best Pick Last Week | 21 points (QB7) | 25 points (TE1) | 16 points (DEF3) |
| Best Pick Season-Long | 297 points (QB2) | 236 points (TE1) | 209 points (DEF1) |
Week 15 Fantasy Streamers
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence vs. NYJ
Yes, I am pivoting from my beloved Jacoby Brissett. He might still have the safest floor in fantasy, but in the playoffs, you need upside. Trevor Lawrence has upside. First and foremost, Lawrence has been on a tear since the team added Jakobi Meyers and brought back Brenton Strange. Over the last four games, Lawrence is the QB4 in fantasy (just one spot behind Brissett). This week, while Brissett faces off against Houston, Lawrence gets the Jets. They have allowed at least one QB touchdown in each of their last 12 games, and four of those were multi-TD games. For his part, Lawrence has multiple TDs in five of his previous six games. The Jags should run away with this one, and Lawrence might have 20 fantasy points by halftime.
Other Options
- Jacoby Brissett @ HOU
- C.J. Stroud vs. ARZ
- Shedeur Sanders @ CHI
- Marcus Mariota @ NYG
- Look Ahead Option: We are going right back to Brissett, who gets ATL in Week 16. Stroud gets Las Vegas, which is also interesting.
Tight End
Theo Johnson vs. WAS
Another pivot this week. If you want to stack Brenton Strange with Lawrence, I still like that call, but I have decided not to put all of my eggs in the Jacksonville basket. Theo Johnson is an excellent alternative. Jaxson Dart loves him and, more importantly, consistently looks for him in the redzone. The Giants get the Commanders this week, who give up the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends over the last month. Plus, the New York is coming off a bye and should be healthy and well-rested. Johnson has been hit-or-miss as of late, but was a top-10 TE in the seven games before his bye. I like him to find the top-10 again this week against a bad defense.
Other Options
- Brenton Strange vs. NYJ
- Isaiah Likely @ CIN
- Juwan Johnson vs. CAR
- Dalton Schultz vs. ARZ
- Look Ahead Option: Darren Waller gets the best matchup ever against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.
Defense
Kansas City Chiefs vs. LAC
I want to start this section off with total honesty: I HATE the streaming defense options this week. Not one team from the streaming list makes my top-10, and that is concerning. Week 15 favors the heavily-rostered defenses, so we have to gamble. The Chiefs were a top-10 defense before their Week 10 bye, but have come out flat since then. They can still get after the QB, and that is why I am picking them against the Chargers. Justin Herbert took seven sacks last week and was hit 11 other times against Philly. That LA offensive line is in shambles, and Kansas City should be able to take advantage. It helps that this is also a must-win game for the Chiefs, and they are home this week. Just cross your fingers for a turnover or two!
Other Options
- Panthers @ NO
- Bears vs. CLE
- Falcons @ TB (Thursday)
- 49ers vs. TEN
- Look Ahead Option: The Chiefs get TEN in Week 16, making them an ideal hold, but if they let us down this week, the Saints get NYJ.
