After a great Week 1, things came crashing back to Earth in Week 2. That applies to both the real football we saw and my streaming options in fantasy football. But we don’t fret over a bad week. Let’s dig into the best streamers for Week 3.
Each week, I highlight five fantasy football streaming options at QB, TE, and DEF. These players are available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues and can still provide a matchup edge. Let’s dive into this week’s picks and find you the upside you need.
Accountabilty
Am I any good at this? I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. In this section, you’ll see how my Stream of the Week (SOTW) and Best Pick finish every week. Since I always provide five options, my Best Pick is the one that scores the most points, even if I didn’t designate it as the Stream of the Week. Essentially, the Best Pick line shows what you could achieve if you streamed only from my weekly lists.
Scores and rankings are based on PPR scoring and 4-point passing touchdowns. Most leagues use 6-point passing touchdowns, but data providers default to 4-point systems, so I’m keeping things consistent.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Streamers
Quarterback
C.J. Stroud @ IND
I am going to be 100% honest about two things. First, I don’t love C.J. Stroud, this week or any week. He is safe but the upside is capped. Second, if I knew who was starting for SEA, they would be my pick, but I hate gambling on weird situations like that for my Stream of the Week. So, back to Stroud. He has been consistent, scoring 16.5 and 17 fantasy points in his first two games. Without Nico Collins, he has no real WRs, and that caps his upside. It should be another Dalton Schultz game, but more on that in a second. Overall, Indy gives up the 2nd most fantasy points to QB, so if Stroud can add another TD to his solid early weeks, he could break 20 fantasy points this week. Stroud is the least risky streamer at QB this week: Safe floor, low ceiling.

Tight End
Dalton Schultz @ IND
I don’t often do streaming stacks, but I honestly have no idea how Schultz, the TE6 in fantasy football, is available in 50% of leagues. If you are reading this and need a TE, stop now and go check your waivers.
Ok, you’re back.
Schultz is coming off a 14-target game, and all signs point to Nico Collins missing this juicy matchup with Indy. Schultz is the WR1; ignore that TE in front of his name. The Colts do allow the fifth-most fantasy points to TEs already this year, so this is going to be another huge week for a guy coming off an overall TE1 performance. Seriously, why is he available in so many leagues?

Defense
Minnesota Vikings @ TB
For the first week this season, I am not picking on the Cleveland Browns. Though they did not fall far if you check my number-two option. Like Schultz, I am a little surprised the Vikings are so available. They were a top-6 preseason defense; they are the DEF6 after two weeks; and they are coming off a game where they did not allow a TD. The Bucs should play better than the Bears, but Baker Mayfield and Co. have given up five turnovers and seven sacks in two weeks. Those numbers have equated to allowing the second-most fantasy points ot DEF/ST. The Vikings have a safe floor and a monster ceiling, as shown by their DEF3 finish in Week 2.
