Week 16 Fantasy Football Waivers: You Have Options at QB and TE!

We are on to the semi-finals. When it comes to waivers this week, there is only one question that matters: Will you start them with your championship hopes on the line? Once you’re happy with your starters, you can begin playing keep-away or stashing backups. Worry about your bench later. You have a game to win! Here are your top adds as we head into Week 16!

A few quick notes: I use ESPN as my baseline, so players must be available in at least 50% of ESPN leagues to be included on the list. I’m also a proponent of streaming QB, TE, K, and DEF, so you’ll rarely see those positions on my list; there are usually quality players readily available for free after the waiver period. Save your FAAB! Now, let’s hit the Top 5.

Week 16 Fantasy Football Waivers

Week 16 Fantasy Football Waivers

Jacoby Brissett / Trevor Lawrence (Both over 50% available on both sites)

I am not sure how much explaining we need here. Brissett has been the best QB streaming option since Week 6, and Lawrence just put up the best numbers by any QB this season. Neither should be on waivers, and if you lost Patrick Mahomes, they are a gift from the fantasy gods. I prefer Brissett to Lawrence. He just put up great numbers against HOU and gets ATL this week. Lawrence has a tougher test in DEN, but is still viable.

Darren Waller / Colby Parkinson (Both over 60% available on both sites)

Tight ends with two-TD potential are exactly what you are looking for on waivers. Both of these gentlemen found the endzone twice in Week 15. Waller is the priority here because he gets CIN this week, a team that has struggled mightily against TEs this season. The Bengals looked better than expected against BAL in Week 15, but I am still betting on a big week from Waller. Parkinson is on a short week, but has a plus-matchup with SEA, and the Rams should be without Davante Adams, furthering his value.

Blake Corum (70% Available on ESPN, 41% on Sleeper)

I used this section last week to remind you that your bench should be used to handcuff your starting RBs. Every Kyren Williams manager should have added Corum three weeks ago, but now, the whole league wants him. I only suggest people in this article if you can start them in your semi-final matchup, and Corum is looking like a solid RB2, even with Williams on the field. His TD upside is looking great, and he should be involved again this week.

Michael Carter (90% Available on ESPN, 90% on Sleeper)

Carter is the last man standing for Arizona. They lost James Conner, Trey Benson, and now Bam Knight is hurt. Carter has shown flashes this season, and he is a nice pass-catcher out of the backfield. With Jacoby Brissett slinging it and a matchup with ATL, that is a great combo for your RB2 or Flex this week.

Luther Burden (85% Available on ESPN, 65% on Sleeper)

Rome Odunze missed his second-straight game, and Burden looked good yet again, this time against a much better CLE defense. With Odunze hurt, Burden is a solid WR2/Flex option, especially in this division-rivalry game against Green Bay. The Packers just lost Micah Parsons, and that will set their defense back. We saw multiple WRs find the endzone against GB last week, and Burden has a high chance to do so in Week 16.
