Stream of the Week: QB, TE, and Defense | Week 4 Rankings

It’s hard to believe that after this week, we’ll already be a quarter of the way through the season. Time flies when you are having fun. Or does time stream? It has been an excellent season for the streaming crowd. There have been multiple quality picks at QB, TE, and DEF in the Wednesday free agency pool every single week. In fact, for the last two weeks, the #1 TE and DEF have been available on this list. There are great options out there even after waivers have run, and here are the best streaming picks at QB, TE, and Defense from our Week 4 rankings.

A Quick Note: You will notice that I do not cover Kicker streams. We leave that to the experts, so check out Linda’s rankings.

Accountability

Week 3 was not as great as Week 2, but it was by no means bad. Our QB and DEF played quite well, but Hunter Henry let us down. Worse yet, his two TDs were usurped by 3rd-stringer Pharoah Brown. It could have been a special week. But I lament. If you strictly took my advice, you have built the QB7, TE7, and DEF4 on the season. Not too shabby. And if you chose from my pool better than me, you might have the QB3, TE1, and DEF3. Let’s keep streaming.

Reminder: All picks were available in over 50% of ESPN leagues after waivers had run on Wednesday.

Quarterback

Stream of the Week – Jordan Love vs. DET (Thursday)

It is truly wild to me that the season’s QB4 is still available enough to call a streaming option. His numbers have picked up overnight, but he is still out there in around 40% of leagues. Go. Get. Him. There are only about seven QBs I’d play over him in any week, so unless you’re in a 6-person league, he should be rostered and started, regardless of matchup. Looking at the matchup, Detroit allows 17 points per game to QBs, and two of their three matchups have netted two QB touchdowns. Love hasn’t scored fewer than two TDs in any game this season. With Aaron Jones and Christian Watson back, he should hit three tonight.

Other Options

Tight Ends

Stream of the Week – Luke Musgrave vs. DET (Thursday)

It’s a streaming stack! Even if I didn’t love Jordan Love, I would stream Musgrave. Detroit has allowed 19 points per game to TEs, which is the most in the league. Over the last two games, they allowed a staggering 20 receptions to the position. Musgrave is already the TE10 in fantasy without scoring a TD. Considering the volume Detriot allows, he should hit eight fantasy points on catches and yards alone. If he scores, that is the cherry on top of a Top 5 week.

Other Options

DEF/ST

Stream of the Week – Seattle Seahawks @ NYG

Honestly, I am not thrilled by the defensive options this week. Fantasy managers have done an excellent job rostering the best options. But they also probably blew FAAB or waiver priority to do so, and that was a mistake. Looking at what’s left, I am betting on Seattle. I would like them a lot better at home, but they are a decent option traveling to NY. The Giants give up top-5 points to DEF/ST and have allowed four sacks and two takeaways per game, on average. Seattle has only had one good game this season on defense, back in Week 2 against Detroit. They registered two sacks, three turnovers, and a defensive TD in that game. This feels like a similar matchup, considering how the Giants have performed in 2023.
